You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows” (Psalm 23:5).
God is good.. He cares for us affectionately. His promise of abundance is not dependent on the earthly economy or your financial status because even with all that He will still provide if you can only believe ( Philippians 4:19).
The “enemy” does not necessarily mean human beings but it means anything that is a challenge to us-health, finance etc. The oil is the strength that comes from us feeding on His Word and from the freshness of the Spirit within us because we are His children (1John 5:4).
There was a time in our lives that we hit the rock bottom financially but yet we had peace, we experienced the supernatural favor of God on with man on every side; people were eager and ready to help us; we also enjoyed divine providence-everything we needed was being supplied with so many financial opportunities that we are still reaping the benefits today. God’s goodness and love kept us through those times and His goodness and love are still with us now. He never leaves nor forsakes us. When we are with the Good Shepherd we will lack nothing. He never fails! Even in tough times His goodness and mercy will still manifest in our lives! Hallelujah! Psalm 4:1b says “…Thou hast enlarged [relieved] me when I was in distress…”
God is true and faithful! But to enjoy His faithfulness we have to embrace who He is. Those that must come to God must believe that HE IS! His presence never leaves us, He knows our needs; And when trouble arises we can be sure He is near to see us through. He gives us the buffers that we need in those times so we don’t feel the heat. He is our very present help in times of need . Trust Him!
